Cutting wet hair?

why do they always cut your hair wet? is it just for style precision, or is it actually bad for your hair to cut it when its dry?

I think they do it to make cutting your hair easier. I don't believe it has anything to do with damaging your hair.

They cut it when it's wet because when your hair is dry, it sometimes gets kinda frizzy and separates easily. But wet hair kinda ''sticks'' all together.

And your hair is the longest when it's wet, because it's all kinda slicked back down to your head.

When they cut your hair wet it's so that the hair is extended all the way. When your hair is dry it sometimes curls up and nots. Its also easier to cut straight, since you can see better.

It is easier to get a more exact cut when wet... However, hair stretches when wet. This is how you sometimes end up with bangs that are "waaay" to short and wonder how did that happen?

wet hair is much easier to control than dry...precision is a factor and the hair will stick-- while dry will have fly aways....i have done dry cuts but for the fact if someone has curly hair but straightens alot and wants a certain look...i would straighten it first and then dry cut to the look they desire...it won't damage the hair if dry...the only way the dry cut would damage hair is if it is razored....razoring should always be done wet.....hope that helped
