Simple, get it cut and don't tell her! haha, no, tell her that its YOUR hair, and if she doesn't take you to get it cut you will cut it off yourself. (she would probably freak) tell her you would pay for the cut yourself. tell her its not healthy to have such long hair. tell her that u are DYING of the heat... be dramatic! (it just might work)

Compromise, have it trimmed, but also get it UP-styled, or dyed or something. Also, use clips, like Butterfly clips. I use them to hold up my hair, and they make them HUGE!

Sit down with mom and find out why she wants your hair long.
You don't say how old you are. Try and not get angry when you discuss the hair options with your mom so you can clearly understand her position and she yours. Any reasonable mom will understand.
Options if mom has a firm hold over you: wear your hair up in a pony tail, pig tails, roll it up, clip it up.
If all else fails, you could cut your hair yourself. Your mom probably won't like that, and your hair will grow back in time.
Try and work it out with mom.

It was probably your mom's dream to have long hair but she never was able to, so she's trying to live that dream through you. What I'm about to suggest isn't very obedient and lots of people will say not to, but it'll work. Just cut it. Yes, cut it yourself or have a friend help (make sure your mom doesn't know a friend was involved or she'll never let you see her again) make sure it looks decent and not all zigzagged though. Once it's cut there's really nothing your mom can do and she'll probably be really upset at first. (you might want to take a picture before, as a memoir of how long your hair got!) but she'll get over it eventually. When she first sees you just explain as best as you can that it really wasn't what you wanted and it was making you feel horrible because you didn't like it and the heat was unbearable. Make sure to say sorry too.

omg, im sorry. lol. you must be super hot an weighed down. my best answer to you would be, depending on the conseqeunces your mom would give you, just start cutting then go down to your mom and basiclly say you had nervous breakdown and she'll have to take you to fix it. If you think she'll react bad to that, than make up abucnh of REALLY convincing reasons, try to come up with 10, and maybe go to abeauty site (google it) where you can get a picture of yourslef and add different hairstyles and haircuts, so she can see how you will look. if worst comes to worst. buns, french braids, pony tails, regular braids, and clips always help hair stay off your kneck and back %26amp; keep you cooler.
